1. Who we are

Leave a Light On is a visual novel game with local play and online services. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

2. Data we collect

• Device and gameplay data: device model, operating system version, anonymous device identifiers, gameplay events such as chapter completion and screen visits, and crash logs. We use this to improve the game and troubleshoot issues.
• Purchase data: in-app purchase transaction receipts processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and passed to us for validation. We do not receive your card number or payment account details.
• Account data when cloud save is enabled: anonymous account identifier, platform account identifier if you choose to link Apple or Google, and game save data.
• Data we do not collect: real name, contacts, precise location, camera data, microphone data, health data, or biometric data.

3. Use of data and third parties

• Analytics and crash reporting: Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
• Payments: Apple App Store and Google Play process purchases under their own privacy policies.
• We do not sell personal data. We do not use player data for cross-app advertising tracking.

4. Storage and retention

Game progress is stored on your device by default. When cloud save is enabled, save data is stored in Firebase until you delete the account or after 2 years of inactivity. Transaction and audit records may be retained where required for tax, refund, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal compliance purposes.

5. Your rights

You may request data export or deletion through the in-game Settings page, the contact address above, or the public deletion page at https://cranelightstudio.com/data-deletion.html. Account deletion permanently removes cloud save data and unspent virtual currency except for records we must retain for legal or platform-dispute reasons.

6. Minors

This game is intended for players aged 13 and older; users under 13 cannot use this app and we do not knowingly collect their data. For users in the EU/EEA aged 13-15, we provide essential-only features and disable analytics and tracking.

7. International data transfers

Online features (analytics, crash reporting, cloud save, purchase validation) are provided by Google Firebase on servers located in the United States and Google's global infrastructure. When you use these features, the data described in Sections 2-3 is transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your place of residence.

8. AI-assisted content disclosure

Some artwork and text in this game are produced with assistance from AI tools and reviewed by human creators. The disclosure is available at https://cranelightstudio.com/legal/ai-disclosure.html and from the in-game Settings page.

9. Policy changes

Material changes will be announced in-game. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated policy.
